Crianças Sem Sonhos

All of OG by YO OG

A project by Borba D. Wright

Barefoot in the streets of Brazil, I began visualizing the realism of life. It was a different world when it became night. Every kid knew the Americano was destined for status but then, it was all about who was the baddest. Those keeping it real, packing steel, & getting high. If you ignoring how you really feel, knowing you gotta heal, grow wings to fly. The streets riddled with reds, whites, and blues. The kids dreaming to reach the top, end up on the news.

A rhetorical piece documenting an artistic expression using chalk as a form of graffiti and protest. The concept consists of capturing myself over time tagging statements in Portuguese. Statements concerning the corruption in the world from violence, drugs, xenophobia, police brutality, child neglection and how these realities have affected myself and the present generation of children.
